Prinsvillan, Djursholm

Prinsvillan (the Prince Villa) is a villa on Germaniavägen 14 A in Djursholm by Ragnar Östberg. The villa was built 1907-1909 in the country mansion style typical of the turn of the century.

The villa was the residence of Prince Erik, Duke of Västmanland (1889–1918), youngest son of Gustaf V of Sweden, who suffered from epilepsy and lived a withdrawn life there until 1917.[1]

The villa has been privately owned since the 1960s and is today a residence for the South African embassy in Sweden.
